Gentle, whole-body support for calm connected feeding
Welcome to Nectar & Nurture, mama.
I’m Amanda, a RN, Certified Lactation Counselor and bodyworker trained in the Gillespie Approach— craniosacral fascial therapy (CFT).
I help mamas and babies move from stress and struggle to calm, connected feeding.
Many breastfeeding challenges — sore nipples, clicking, poor latch, gas, reflux — are often linked to tension from birth and oral restrictions.
In my practice, I combine nervous system focused craniosacral therapy (CST) & craniosacral fascial therapy (CFT) with individualized breastfeeding support.
By helping your baby’s fascia unwind and release, we restore comfort, improve feeding function, and support your baby’s whole body — so breastfeeding becomes easeful and connected.
When a baby arrives earthside, we imagine feeding will just happen—simple, instinctive, effortless. BUt for many families, the reality is different. Pain creeps in, latch feels shallow, reflux or endless feeds appear, and confidence quietly slips away. you’re not alone— and you don’t have to push through.
I created Nectar and Nurture to offer a different kind of care— support that looks at why feeding might be hard in the first place. Support that looks beyond the tongue. I offer care that sees the whole baby, the whole body. By helping babies release the tension that birth can leave behind in their neck, jaw, shoulders hips and feet, we create space for easier movement and easier feeding. When the body moves better, when baby is able to move into an open posture at the breast—the tongue automatically moves better too—making feeding more comfortable and effective.
My work blends clinical understanding with nervous system focused, baby-led bodywork and practical, intuitive feeding support. I equip you with tools and clarity so your intuition can lead the way. I’m here to guide and partner with you, not to overwhelm or pressure.
Some families find me while still pregnant, wanting early, proactive support so feeding starts off calm and connected. Others come once feeding feels hard and want someone to help them out of pain and confusion. Either way, my role is the same: to come alongside you, to support your baby’s body so that your baby can move and feed with ease, and to help you feel confident, supported and deeply connected.
How can I support you?
Every family’s postpartum story is different. Some invite me in during those first tender days to help their baby’s body unwind birth tension and begin feeding with ease. Others call when breastfeeding has become painful or overwhelming. Wherever you are, I use gentle craniosacral fascial therapy (CFT) to help your baby release fascial tension so they can move freely and breastfeed with ease— while I hold space for you to exhale, feel supported and trust yourself again.

A traditional lactation visit is focused on feeding mechanics and milk management — things like weighted feeds, detailed feeding plans, and in-depth supply troubleshooting.
My work is different and often the best first step for families.
I look at why feeding might be hard in the first place — helping babies release tension from birth and improving how their bodies move and feed. When the body is moving better, the tongue will move better too, which can make latching easier and more comfortable right away.During a visit with me, we’ll:
work on positioning and posture at the breast so feeding feels better, latch is deeper, and babies can transfer milk more effectively and efficiently
check latch and tongue function to see what’s limiting movement or comfort
use gentle craniosacral fascial therapy (CFT) to help your baby’s body unwind and move with ease
support your milk supply if latch or tension have affected it — with both practical steps, herbal support, and a holistic approach that nourishes your body at the cellular level
guide you through understanding and addressing tongue ties if needed
Most babies improve with this approach alone.
If I see your baby needs more specialized feeding management (weighted feeds, complex supply support, medical evaluation), I’ll help you build a care team and connect you with the right providers.I’m a great starting point because we often resolve feeding pain and difficulty by addressing the body first — and if more help is needed, I’ll guide you there.

The Gillespie Approach–Craniosacral Fascial Therapy is founded by Dr. Barry Gillespie, based on his theory that the craniosacral and fascial systems are one interconnected system.
The craniosacral system includes structures of the brain, spinal cord and sacrum that gently pumps cerebrospinal fluid. The fascia is a continuous layered web of connective tissue that surrounds and protects all structures of the body and brain. It also influences the function of cranial nerves and the central nervous system. Physical and emotional traumas have the capacity to tighten the free-moving craniosacral fascial system by exerting pressure on nerves, muscles, organs, blood and lymph vessels, and bones.
The goal of craniosacral fascial therapy is to gently unwind and release fascial strain because releasing tight fascia allows the cranial bones and sacrum to correct, allowing for optimal mobility and better brain function. Releasing tight fascia facilitates the cerebrospinal fluid to flow optimally, giving the body space to heal, as the body is self-healing and self-regulating.

Bodywork is beneficial for all babies! By releasing tightness in the craniosacral fascial system, the body has space to function optimally… leading to healthy, happy, thriving babies.
SIGNS YOUR BABY COULD BENEFIT FROM BODYWORK:
• birth trauma: forceps or vacuum used at birth, long or fast labor, c-section
• breastfeeding issues: poor latch or difficulty sucking, feeding side preference, clicking sounds while nursing
• airway issues: snoring, mouth breathing, arching when asleep
• GI issues: reflux, gas, constipation, spits up after every feed
• tethered oral tissues (TOTs)
• nervous system dysregulation
• torticollis
• flat spots on the head
• grunts a lot and seems uncomfortable; general fussiness
• ear infections
• body tension; baby is stiff and likes to stand
You are both designed for this.
